Pregnancy and Child Birth Claims Solicitors

Read Kayla's story

Recently our clinical negligence solicitors have won the following other claims arising from pregnancy and birth:

  • Failure to diagnose Down's Syndrome during pregnancy - £1.5 million
  • Ruptured symphysis pubis during delivery - £465,000

More details of this win which has provided a better future for our clients can be found under our case wins section.

As well as cerebral palsy and Erb's palsy our clinical negligence solicitors and litigation lawyers have a great deal of experience dealing with other injuries to both mother and child which occur during pregnancy and labour. Common causes of compensation claims are failure to diagnose congenital illnesses during pregnancy, delay in achieving delivery or negligent performance of the delivery leading to stillbirth and failure to monitor mother's condition in late pregnancy or after delivery, leading to conditions such as pre-eclampsia.

As well as clinical negligence lawyers with great experience dealing with claims of this type, we are able to call on the services of a midwife who can provide useful input throughout the case. Circumstances leading to cases of this type are often very traumatic and our team have great experience working with families in these situations. Often an important component of the claim is the psychological injury suffered by members of the family following such events.
