Nursing and Care Home Abuse Claim Solicitors

Our clinical negligence solictors recently settled the following claims resulting from injuries sustained in care homes:

  • Development of bedsores and dehydration £26,000
  • Failure to treat sores £45,000

It is never easy to see your relatives suffering in later years of their lives, these settlements have helped our clients have a better quality of life and better levels of care. More details can be found under our case wins section.

We have a specialist team of clinical negligence solictors dealing with claims arising from injuries sustained by residents at nursing homes and elderly patients at hospital. When unacceptable care or neglect by the staff of a nursing home causes an injury to a resident, the nursing home can be sued for compensation. In particular we are regularly instructed by residents of nursing homes (or their families) who develop pressure sores. Pressure sores are usually both foreseeable and preventable and require specialist management. Without appropriate prevention and management the consequences can be devastating, often including infection or long standing open wounds requiring further surgery. Other examples of poor care include the failure to provide adequate supervision and assistance to avoid tripping or falling accidents and lack of attention to hydration and nutrition.

The residents of nursing homes are often elderly and vulnerable we understand how difficult it is to see a loved one suffer in this way. We offer expert legal advice in this distressing area to the resident of the nursing home and their family.
