Property Litigation Solicitors

The department's specialist property litigation team consists of commercial litigators with specialist property litigation experience. The unit provides cost effective advice and assistance for a wide range of clients including companies, partnerships and individuals. It deals with all aspects of property litigation and alternative dispute resolution including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and court action.

The team has extensive experience advising in matters such as renewals under the 1954 Act, dilapidations (s146 Notices and the application of s18 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1927), forfeiture and recovery of possession, and recovery of rent by action or distress. The unit also advises on wider property issues such as complex boundary and right of way disputes, contractual and development issues including breach of covenant claims, “nuisance” claims, possession proceedings against trespassers, cohabitation disputes and professional negligence claims arising out of property transactions.
