Laser eye surgery
Laser eye surgery is a type of refractive surgery which involves the removal or reshaping by laser of part of the cornea or part of the lens. This change alters the way in which light hits the retina, thereby correcting short sightedness or long sightedness.
There are various different types of laser eye surgery including LASIK, LASEK There is a 5% complication rate which can include dry eyes, over or under correction, halo or glare effects when driving at night, instability in the shape of the eye and, rarely, loss of vision.
