Ministry of Defence (MOD) military injury claims

The number of armed services personnel injured accidentally or deliberately during the course of military service is steadily increasing. I you have suffered an injury which caused by another person's negligence you may be eligible to claim financial compensation.

Making a claim against the MOD

We appreciate that in most military accident claims the MOD is still the employer, making the prospect of making a claim a daunting one, however, it is your legal right to claim compensation if the MOD is responsible for your injury.

It will normally be necessary to show negligence or breach of duty by the MOD in order to make a military injury claim against it: for example, the accident or incident which caused your injury may have occurred due to some fault on the part of the MOD, or a person or persons employed by the MOD.
