Disability discrimination solicitors
We specialise in disability rights and disability discrimination issues. Naturally, we believe it is important to help those with disabilities deal with the discrimination they may face when accessing good and services, care, support and public services.
We can help you with any problem you have or legal proceedings you wish to pursue, in relation to disability discrimination:
- when accessing goods and services
- in or relating to employment
The Equality Act 2010 became law on 1st October 2010.
Not all of the Act is currently in force but it includes significant principles relating to disability discrimination and increases the rights of disabled people and those who care for them.
The Equality Act develops the law on discrimination and gives wider definitions to disability, discrimination and the principles of ‘reasonable adjustments’ to enable those with disabilities access to services and employment.
Our Disability Rights team understands the key legal issues in relation to disability discrimination and the duties of those responsible for providing services for people with disabilities.
We can assist you with disability discrimination issues including:
- access to care, support and public services
- access to goods and services
- direct and indirect discrimination
- obtaining reasonable adjustments
