When do you Provide a Specimen?

Detailed legal understanding is required in situations where there is an allegation that you have failed to provide a specimen of breath, blood or urine for evidential analysis. Expert opinion is often essential in establishing key elements of your defence. Call 0800 840 4929 to find out more.

The procedures the police must adhere to when taking blood specimens are detailed and failure to carry these out properly can result in a failed prosecution. The relevant legislation is also complex and by obtaining legal advice at an early stage, you can significantly increase the chances of the prosecution failing or achieving an acquittal.

If convicted the disqualification ranges from the minimum 12 month disqualification to an unlimited period disqualification and a fine of up to £5,000. The court also has the discretion to impose a custodial sentence of up to six months.

Do not simply accept an allegation of failing to provide a specimen, call our solicitors now and we will ensure the best possible outcome for you.
