Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance & Updates

Health and safety and environmental legal compliance and updates

With sanctions for health and safety and environmental non compliance steadily growing and the increasing impact that such convictions can have on business performance, everyone agrees that compliance is key.

But with so many health and safety and environmental regulations being made every year, it can be easy to miss new requirements and obligations that your business has to comply with. As the vast majority of health and safety and environmental offences do not require the offender to have intended to breach the requirements, businesses frequently find themselves facing enforcement action - whether formal or informal - as a result of not keeping up to date with legal requirements.

Our Health, Safety and Environment team are experts in health and safety and environmental law. We understand how the regulators and courts will interpret the requirements imposed on business and the approach to compliance that will be taken. If you need help or support to understand the complex range of safety and environmental requirements imposed on your business, our expert team is best positioned to help.

Groundwork Pennine Lancashire developed ELUS (Environmental Legislation Update Service) ten years ago in response to customers concerns about keeping up to date with current legislation. As those concerns also extended to health and safety legislation, Groundwork Pennine Lancashire then created HASLUS (Health and Safety Legislation Update Service).  Both ELUS and HASLUS are completely electronic online legislation registers containing a wide range of legislation. Importantly, ELUS and HASLUS can be tailored to individual businesses needs by ensuring that only legislation relevant to the business’ trading activities is included in the register. You can also upload your own documents and write comments on the register to demonstrate compliance with the regulations.

Pannone have joined forces with Groundwork Pennine Lancashire, part of the national charity Groundwork, which supports communities in need by delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future.  Our Health, Safety and Environment team verifies the content of both ELUS and HASLUS, ensuring that the summaries are legally accurate, which gives subscribers added confidence in the information supplied.
