The benefits of Advantage funding include:
- an early and detailed assessment of your risk for a fixed fee agreed before we work on your case. We will also propose the most appropriate strategy to resolve the dispute
- insurance cover for your opponent's costs
- a discount on your legal fees by as much as 100% under the terms of a conditional fee agreement
- clear costs reports so you can see at a glance your costs to date and likely future costs
- access to third party funding in appropriate cases
The funding of commercial litigation or any dispute resolution process is a key issue for clients. Litigation is traditionally seen as hard to control in terms of costs and risky in terms of outcome. With the extra flexibility of Advantage, you regain control and can deal with disputes in a clear and focused way. You will have an agreed strategy at the outset together with a complete understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your case. If your case has at least a 60% prospect of success (and your opponent has the means to pay) we will agree to discount our fees by as much as 100% and you will be covered for up to £2m of your opponent's costs if you lose.
