Local Enterprise Partnerships

On 28 October 2010 the Government approved proposals for 24 local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) as part of its drive to create growth by rebalancing the economy towards the private sector.

The aim is to promote a more entrepreneurial culture and generally to develop the infrastructure for successful business communities.

LEPs will see business and civic leaders working together under the chairmanship of a prominent business leader. They will bring considerable local and business expertise to the key task of revitalising their local and regional economies.

With our substantial public and private sector experience we can advise on all aspects of the LEPs process. We can also help with ensuring effective corporate governance arrangements so that public accountability and propriety are effectively hard-wired into operational structures.
