Kim is Partner in the Industrial Disease team. Kim acts for victims and their families of workplace accidents and industrial diseases such as asbestos related cancers and diseases, industrial deafness, dermatitis, hand/arm vibration syndrome and carbon monoxide poisoning.
She also acts for victims of sexual and physical abuse pursuing claims for compensation, often against the Catholic Church or social services.
Best career moment:
Achieving a £100,000 settlement for a client who had asbestosis and more recently obtaining a settlement of over £369,000 for a client who was severely injured at work following a fall.
Kim is a keen blogger and writes a regular blog. One of the purposes of the blog is to raise awareness of industrial diseases such as asbestos and campaign for justice for victims of asbestos related diseases and their families. She also has a Twitter account @DiseaseLawyer.
A keen advocate for social justice, Kim is a volunteer at the Manchester Legal Advice Centre and has been a supporter of various community campaigns, most recently against the closure of her local law centre and swimming baths.
Kim trained with the firm and qualified in 2005 as a solicitor. She was promoted to partner in 2011.
Kim is an Accredited Senior Litigator with APIL and an APIL Accredited Occupational and Asbestos Disease Specialist.
