Steven is Senior Partner and Head of Corporate Services.
Throughout his career Steven has been involved in a wide range of corporate and commercial work for a diverse client base including private and public companies, multinationals and public authorities. The majority of his corporate work has been for private companies including acquisitions and disposals, MBOs, equity investments and joint ventures.
He has worked extensively on corporate and commercial projects in the public sector, particularly in transport, where he has been involved in a number of major transactions.

Best career moment: The most interesting and fun was the privatisation of Greater Manchester Buses which was a great mix of local and national politics, novel legal issues and sophisticated corporate finance transactions. In many ways it was a ground-breaking deal in Manchester.
Notable transactions include:
- lead partner on the statutory division and subsequent privatisation of Greater Manchester Buses
- part of the team advising on the granting of the concession for all phases of Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system
- lead partner on the acquisition of East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside Airports for Manchester Airport plc
- acting for subsidiaries of Rentokil Initial plc in respect of corporate transactions
- lead partner on the disposal by BASF plc of its Seal Sands facility to Ineos
- acting for Newell Corporation in relation to its acquisition of Corning's European business
- acting for various local authorities in relation to the outsourcing of functions including leisure activities and residential care
Steven qualified in 1984 when he joined Pannone. He became a partner in the Corporate group in 1987 and was head of the group for five years before becoming Managing Partner of the firm in 2008. In 2010 Steven was appointed Senior Partner and Head of Corporate Services.
