Samantha is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate team at Pannone and specialises in all aspects of commercial real estate work. In particular Samantha acts for occupiers, investors and developers in acquiring and disposing of land and buildings and for banks in relation to secured lending transactions.

For the last five years Samantha has headed the Pannone team providing conveyancing advice on a national level to the Highways Agency.

Best career moment: It is difficult to pick one particular highlight but being part of the team that acted on the acquisition of Birmingham and East Midlands airports in the early part of my career was pretty exciting. I have also acted for a number of years for Chevron and in that time was involved in the sale of about 400 petrol stations which, as well as being interesting, gave me an in depth knowledge of locations of towns and cities in England and Wales!

Notable transactions include:

• acting for Chevron and advising them on all aspects of their land holding. In particular acting for them on the sale of over 300 petrol stations
• leading the Pannone team acting on all the land acquisitions and disposals for the Highways Agency on a national level
• acting for a number of banks, including Santander, including advising on the real estate finance aspects of the provision of multi million pound loan facilities to a major North West based property group to acquire an investment portfolio of supermarket, warehousing and retail properties in various locations throughout the UK
• acting for the administrators of developers in the sale of part completed development sites and administrators of property portfolio owners in relation to property run off work for lenders
• acting for Bardsley Construction in the acquisition of residential development sites,
• lead partner in the plot sale set up for a number of residential developers
