Andrew is a member of the firm’s Management Board.

Best career moment: Receiving a note of sincere and genuine thanks from a leading local businessman at the conclusion of his divorce. After working diligently for him over the preceding 12 months, and having secured an excellent settlement, it was wonderful to know that all of the hard work was so appreciated. After a very long marriage we had negotiated a divorce settlement providing his wife with a small fraction of his overall wealth.

Andrew writes for one of the leading family law textbooks, Butterworths Family Law Service.  He has also recently written a textbook for The Law Society ‘Ancillary Relief – Practice and Precedents’ and will soon be publishing a further book on major changes to divorce procedure.

Andrew is a member of Resolution and was chair of the Manchester regional group for 10 years.  He also chaired the national Resolution training committee over a similar period.

Andrew lectures regularly on family law issues and provides the annual update at Resolution’s national conference. He also frequently writes articles for various family law journals, including for the Law Society Gazette which is distributed to all solicitors in England and Wales.

Andrew is a Resolution accredited specialist in respect of high net worth divorces.  He is also a Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer and is a member of the local collaborative group, Separation Solutions.

He has extensive experience of international work and is only one of a handful of solicitors outside London who is a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Andrew comments regularly on family law issues on both national and local television, radio and the press. Recent media work includes the Today Programme on Radio 4, Radio Five Live, BBC1, Sky news, Granada Reports, The Times, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and The Daily Mail as well as other national papers.

He qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and became a partner with Pannone in 1998.
