City centre law firm Pannone has gained accreditation to the rigorous ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard, which involved establishing an environment and sustainability policy; determining the environmental impacts of the business and establishing activities and services which ensure the firm considerably reduces its environmental footprint.

Tim Hayes, who heads Pannone’s Environmental and Sustainability Group said, “We are delighted to have been awarded ISO 14001 accreditation in this massively important category. We are committed to working to the highest possible environmental standards and this is tangible reward for the effort everyone in the firm has put in.”
Over the past twelve months, greener working measures introduced by Pannone include: reducing energy consumption by 40%, recycling all paper, plastics, metals, glass, toner cartridges, batteries and IT hardware. Pannone conducted an internal environmental audit firmwide and also appointed ‘Green Champions’ in every department to see through energy saving and recycling initiatives.
Mr Hayes added finally, “Both existing and potential clients will be able to see that Pannone is a firm that places environmental matters extremely high on its list of priorities and we will continue to work towards even higher standards of environmental responsibility.”
