Widow’s appeal for colleagues of husband killed by asbestos
Date:
A widow who lost her husband at the age of 63 from an asbestos related condition is appealing to his former colleagues who may be able to help in her fight for compensation.
Bill Tucker died at the age of 63 from mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining of the lung, caused by exposure to asbestos dust. It is believed that Mr Tucker was exposed to asbestos during the 1960s when employed by T Sutcliffe & Company of Blackley. He helped load and unload asbestos sheets and cut them using a band saw. He worked on site constructing garage structures made in part or entirely from asbestos sheets.
Mrs Tucker is being represented by Pauline Chandler, a solicitor experienced in pursuing asbestos disease claims. Pauline said: “I would be very interested to talk to anyone who worked for T Sutcliffe & Company in the 1960s, particularly if they knew Bill Tucker. Even office based staff from Sutcliffe’s may be able to help with information on who the firm’s insurers were.”
If anyone has any information about T Sutcliffe & Company please contact Pauline Chandler on 0161 909 1485.
