Divorce advice for the community

Vicki McLynn, a partner in our Family Department, was a guest on RedShift Radio last week.

Vicki McLynn, a partner in our Family Department, was a guest on RedShift Radio last week. She appeared on the Competitive Edge show and was interviewed by Susie Mitchell who runs a personal development and corporate coaching consultancy.

Vicki provided advice on a variety of common family law issues.

She talked about divorce settlements and whether the expectation on divorce is that each party will receive half of everything.

Susie asked whether pre-nuptial agreements were worth the paper they are written on and Vicki explained their legal status and the circumstances in which they may be useful.

The final topic they covered during the show was domestic violence Vicki gave practical tips and stressed the importance of contacting the police and seeing a family law solicitor as soon as possible.
