The Independent has reported that BBC Radio 5 broadcaster and It’s a Knockout presenter Stuart Hall has been charged with three counts of indecent assault on girls aged between 9 and 16 years old.

Mr Hall was arrested and charged yesterday in connection with offences alleged to have occurred between 1974- 1984 involving three girls. He has now been bailed and is to appear before Preston magistrates in January.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police has said “We would encourage people with any information about sexual abuse or who has been a victim to come forward and report their concerns, confident in the knowledge it will be investigated appropriately and with sensitivity”.
