Church officials are claiming that administrative oversights have led to over 100 members of the clergy not having their CRB checks renewed. Those Priest involved have been temporarily stopped from working until the problem is resolved.

This news follows a whole string of criticisms of Diocese of Chichester in respect of inadequate record keeping which, it is alleged, allowed paedophile priests to remain in position.
