The work of trainees in our Personal Injury team
As a trainee in the Personal Injury team you are asked to draft various documents including witness statements, schedules of loss, pleadings and letters of claim. In this team there is a lot of client contact ranging from assisting clients, to conferences with counsel, to visiting clients on home visits.
Trainees are given the opportunity to improve their advocacy skills, for example, by conducting case management conferences over the telephone and at Court. Trainees are also given the opportunity to negotiate the resolution of cases. On a day to day basis trainees are expected to liaise with clients, third party insurers, solicitors and the court.
