The work of trainees in our Corporate Recovery team
Corporate recovery and insolvency can cover a wide area of law including corporate, litigation, trusts and property law. As a corporate recovery trainee at Pannone you deal with both corporate and personal insolvency.
On the personal insolvency side, you can expect to be involved in drafting Bankruptcy petitions and attending Bankruptcy hearings, often by yourself. Once the Bankruptcy order is made, you will assist the Trustee in Bankruptcy that has been appointed and this can include making an application for possession and sale of the Bankrupt's assets or making an application for an income payments order against the Bankrupt.
With regards to corporate insolvency, a trainee's role involves drafting applications to place companies into administration, assisting liquidators in bringing claims against a director and advising directors of their role when it is believed the company could be insolvent.
