The work of trainees in our Family team
The Family team is extremely busy and you can expect to receive work from any of the fee earners within the team. Trainees are often required to attend client meetings and there are also many court hearings to attend where you will assist Counsel.
In the office, trainees are often asked to draft documents including divorce petitions, consent orders and the forms that deal with financial disclosure. There are also a lot of research tasks ranging from obtaining details of suitable properties to purchase to finding out about the international aspects of family law.
