London Patients spend hundreds of hours stuck in ambulances outside hospital

Figures released by the Health Service Journal reveal that in the first 7 weeks of this year close to 700 London patients requiring emergency hospital treatment spent over an hour waiting in the back of an ambulance outside of hospital because the doctors and nurses in A&E were unable to cope with the number of required admissions.
